fileAI bills for what you process, with no limits on users or workspaces. How you pay depends on where you work: prepaid credits on the Developer Portal, or a plan in the fileAI app. App plans can be billed monthly or annually.

Developer Portal

The Developer Portal runs on prepaid credits in US dollars. Each product is charged on its own, so a file that uses both is charged for both. Free trial: new accounts start with $7 of credit, enough for about 460 fileScout pages or 140 fileForensics runs. For example, a 6-page PDF uploaded with both products costs 6 × $0.015 + $0.05 = $0.14.

Credits and top-ups

Open Billing in the portal sidebar to see your credits remaining, your plan, your payment method and your payment history. From there you can top up once, or turn on auto top-up so your balance doesn’t run out. Your balance also shows at the bottom of the sidebar; click Manage credit to top up.

Usage

Open Usage for the last 30 days, across all projects or one. It shows requests, pages processed, success rate, total cost and credits used per day, then every run with its file, project, status and cost. Click Export CSV to download it.

fileAI app

New self-serve workspaces start on a trial so you can try fileAI before you commit. For current prices and plan details, see the pricing page.

What is metered

Usage is counted per product: For prices, see Developer Portal above or the pricing page.

Example: a month of claim packs

You process 200 insurance claims a month. Each claim pack has a 4-page claim form PDF, a 3-page repair estimate PDF, a 2-page police report PDF and 6 photos, and you turn on fileForensics at upload for every file. On the Developer Portal that is 3,000 × $0.015 = **$45** for fileScout and 1,800 × $0.05 = **$90** for fileForensics, or $135 a month. On a fileAI app plan, multiply each total by your plan’s rate. A forensics run that ends in error is not counted, so the real total can be slightly lower.

When you run out of credits in the app

Keep processing by either:
  • making a one-time top-up, or
  • turning on automatic top-ups so your balance stays active.
Manage both from Settings > Billing.

Upgrade to Enterprise

The Enterprise plan adds custom credit options, dedicated support and enterprise features such as custom-trained models, unlimited schemas, private cloud or on-premise deployment, workflow orchestration and an uptime SLA. To upgrade, contact sales through the Enterprise form.
